Emergency preparedness gifts from Emergency Essentials
Consider giving gifts of preparedness to help someone start their 72 hour kit, short term or long term food storage.
- Give gifts from Emergency Essentials. Whistles, Emergency Blankets, Hot Hands and Matches are very inexpensive gifts.
- "Food Storage of the Month" Give a family member one #10 can or other inexpensive food storage item each month of the coming year.
- Give a juice jug, PETE container or just a #10 can filled with dry wheat and attach this quote by Brigham Young.
"The time will come that gold will hold no
comparison in value to a bushel of wheat." - "Dinner in a Bag". Give a complete pantry meal in a bag or pretty container. A pantry meal is a meal that can be made with only items found in your pantry (no fresh or perishable ingredients). The meal pictured is TVP Tacos and includes: spaghetti, 1 jar of spaghetti sauce, 1 can of chicken broth, 2 cups of TVP and the recipe. I've included a little poem that explains that this is the start of their 90 days of convience/pantry meals.
120 Days of Pantry Meals
A gift for you, one of your meals,
One day is done, what a deal!
29 more is all you need,
The Prophets counsel, you can heed.
Repeat these meals 2 more times
Now you have your 3 month’s supply!
The recipe and poem are downloadable here.
